I recenetly rented this game in hopes of finding my next RTS addiction. Sadly that is not what i found. Though it dose take statigy, it is far from real time. It is turn based and allows your enemy the luxery of takeing his/ her time. This can cause a match to go one for a very long time (my longest was 4 days!!). I dont know about you but i know that i dont have that kind of time. Another issue i had with the game is that it takes alot away from the combat and puts more attenion to the building of your community. This is nice to an extent as it give you more ways to win. The problem is that the teck used to build up your community takes so very long that by the time you reach the cooler teck you are so board you want to screem. To top it off the combat system is compleatly useless. To get to a certin unit you have to search through everyone of your units one by one useing the depad. When enguaged, you can not attack all at once. You are again forced to attack unit by unit. The actual battle is prety much randome with a small base on unit strength base defence etc. The worst part is that units that would have not way in hell of defend from the other units (eg legion vs fighter plane) some how manage to hit. All in all it is prety fusterating. If you can get past all that, the AI is actualy prety smart and will give most gammers a challenge. At best i would say get a 5 nite rentle to try it out first because most who play it will probbaly be unhappy.
