nice but short

it's fun for a while upgrading your guy and such but all you really need to kill any gang leader is a rocket launcher it's not even nessacary to work the foot soldiers as you can just run past them. over all you could finish the game in one day.

the game in the beginning was a not stop blast untill after you have beaten the game....the graphics are decent the music is almost non existant and the online play is ONLY fun if you have a friend that just got the game....all in all its at best a rental...its just to short and to easy...

this game is fun game .it is not a clone of gta. it does have the free roam but in gta can u jump really far, run really fast, and pick up really heavy stuff. and u can do alot of other cool things. also if ur haveing proplems or stuck on a part u can go on a coop mode with a freind and they can help u onlin or ofline. but when u beat it it gets a little boring.

fun online, youll have problems online if you don't have superfast internet. Amazing graphics. Pretty good game. you can easily get 500 achievment points.
But really i only got the game for the Halo 3 beta. But I'd say its worth getting.

Easy Driving High achievement

Pick up any car and get it on top of a high building or set of rocks. You can do this by jumping with it or throwing it to higher ledges. Once you reach the desired height, just get into the car to get the Driving High achievement.

Go to the supply point on the map called "Garcia Point". It is the second north-most supply point in the Los Muertos section of Pacific City. Exit that supply point (or make your way there if you have not already secured that supply point). Jump up onto the plateau just above the shack. Once there you should see a jeep. Get into the jeep and drive forward about a car length and drive your front wheels up on a rock.

Go to the Central Point building in Shai-Gen where Cowell is located. Get into any car and find your way up the staircase to the front door of the building. Kill all Shai-Gen in the bottom floor of the building if you have not defeated Cowell. Drive across the room to the elevator. Jump out and open the lift's doors. Drive into the elevator, turn on the lift, and get into your car. About halfway up the lift you will gain the achievement. This will work for any vehicle; you do not have to defeat Cowell.

Easy Front Flipper achievement

Exit from the Agency through Door 1, then proceed on the street until you get to an intersection. There is a ramp truck on your left, down the street. Take the truck to the intersection you were just at. Keep going down the street past that intersection and you should see a ramp going to the highway. Place the truck at the top of the turn, then go down the street with the Agency SUV and launch off the ramp. You can easily get a double frontflip. This also helps with getting driving experience.

Defeat Cowell in the Central Point building on the Shai-Gen island. Make sure you have leveled up your driving skills to do flips in your SUV. Drive in the building, get on the elevator, and then drive up the ramps until you get to the opening where you see Wang's building across from you. You do not have to drive very fast, but must have just enough speed to clear the railing, while getting the most out of B. It is possible to do three flips by doing this.

Easy Timed Stunt Driver achievement

First, reach a level 4 in your driving status to be able to jump and stick yourself to buildings. Find a tall building clear of street lamps and other things. Make sure you are away from the building slightly. Go slow, jump towards the building, and raise the nose of the car in the air. Press B again and stick yourself to the building. Drive up the wall. When it releases, you will fly backward slightly. At this moment, hold Analog-stick Back for an easy backwards flip. Repeat this five more times for the achievement.

Go to the Easy Riders Garage in the Los Muertos territory by the lighthouse with a level 4 Agency SUV after you have secured it from enemy hands. You will have a regular jump ramp and two barrel roll ramps. Start by using the regular jump ramp at speeds between 110 mph to 120 mph. Anything faster will result in you hitting the rafters; anything slower will result with the back bumper of your SUV landing and you will not get a full flip. Land it and continue around to the barrel roll ramps. Hit them at 80 mph to 90mph and land it. Repeat the process three times to earn the achievement.

Go to the beach on the Los Muertos island using the SUV on level 4. On the west side of the beach are two of the houses with ramps on both sides. You do not have to go very far or over 60 mph to hit a back flip in combo with B.

Start a co-op game with a partner. You must have the ability to pick up and throw cars. Take the Agency SUV (as you have greater aerial control) to an open area. Try the beach area north of the fairgrounds. Have one player stay in the SUV. Have the other player pick up the car and throw it (avoiding any rocks or structures). The car naturally tends to perform a right barrel roll. The player in the car only needs to ensure that the SUV lands on its wheels to earn the 1x Barrel Roll. Repeat this until you have done it six times in sixty seconds.

Easy car stunt achievements

You can get most of the stunt achievements if you are a level 2 driver or higher. However, if possible, try leveling up by doing all the races so that you are a level 5 (four stars and +99) driver. Then, go to the Agency supply point. Access the Agency SUV. Exit Door 1 to Los Muertos. Drive north towards the Ferris wheel. Once you get there, land on the beach. On the beach are a few lifeguard huts. Most of them have two ramps (one on each side). Use this area to get all the stunt achievements. If you are a level 5 or higher and have the SUV, you can use a special "car jump feature". Use this to your advantage. The only stunts that need to be done elsewhere are those that require you to jump a height of 115 ft or more and to execute two front flips. You can get the two front flips by finding an elevated area that will allow you to use the SUV to gain speed. Then, press B to jump off it.

Use the following trick for easy Car Juggler, Hazardous Hang Time, Driving High, and Front Flipper achievements. You must be playing in Co-op mode and use a Supercar. Using it with a level 4 driving skill is recommended, although it will work with a level 3 driving skill. Have one of the players drive the Supercar and the other find a small car that is just roaming around. Use the bridge directly outside the Agency in Los Muertos to the right. Get on opposite sides of the bridge and meet head on in the center lane at full speed. The Supercar will send the other vehicle flying for a long time. It is possible to get all four achievements at once. However, the Car Juggler achievement may be slightly more difficult to earn. You do not have to actually shoot the car in the air with a rocket launcher for seven seconds. The same strategy described earlier applies, except make sure the regular car is smoking very badly and is sent skyward with the Supercar. If you get a good enough jump up, the last bit of damage that the Supercar inflicts on the already smoking vehicle will cause it to explode up in the air and you will gain the Car Juggler achievement. Note: You must stay in the car for the explosion to count towards the achievement. Although this results in a death, you will earn the achievement.

this game is very awesome. when you first start you will be amazed by its great variety of ways to do things. Also its pretty fun to go around and try to collect all the different orbs. though once you beat it you won't really want to go back and replay it because it has no replay value. plus the co-op is great. so this is a definant buy for any 360 owner. so i give it 4 OUT OF 5.

Graphics- The graphics in this game are pretty good. The enviroments are done very well and the look of the game matches very well with everything. I really enjoy graphics on the 360. You just can't go wrong with graphics. Graphics get a 5/5.

Gameplay- The gameplay is awesome. The idea behind this game is so great. It is very easy to pick up this game and play right away. The controls were easy and spaced not making the game seem bulky. I really enjoy the level up of attributes and gaining new things to do. Gameplay gets a 5/5.

Storyline- The storyline doesn't do to well in this game. There really is no storyline in this game. You just have to kill key leaders of gangs and then kill the master. The game is still awesome without the story but still..a story would be nice. Storyline gets a 3/5

Online- The online isn't that much entertaining. Some people love the idea of co-op online. If you like that you will love online in Crackdown. Online gets a 4/5.

Crackdown, another game which had a ton of potential. The premise is just great: Super Agent leaps tall buildings, hurls vehicles, and takes out pennys from 5,000 ft away, all while taking down three evil gang rings.
The actual gameplay isn't bad, but there's no depth here, and the game is dang short.

Pros:
-Actual gameplay is great fun...throwing cars and jumping across buildings.
-Graphics are decent enough, they match the game.
-Orb collecting is addictive!

Cons:
-Lack of story and length put this game in the "weekend rental" category.
-Shooting mechanic just feels annoying...I don't want to have the game do ALL the work for me. And I don't want to lock onto dead bodies mid-fight!
-Just too easy...
-Orb collecting is ACTUALLY addictive!

Final Thought:
Crackdown might just be the best 'ok' game ever. And it's certainly worth a rental.
Maybe Crackdown 2 will have a story?

I will admit that i bought this game for the halo three beta which by the way was freaking awlsomly great and i wish was still going on right now but thats besides the point. Crackdown was so good at first that i took to a friends house he played it and had to buy it, which was sweet because then we played online coop and then we beat the game it had to wait for the beta and it has not been played since but i do plan on playing the game to get the rest of the gamer score from it.

I only played the demo and mainly with my friend online but the coop is so damn fun, it's like playing GTA online except with super powers and much better looking cities. Orb collecting is fun because the more you get the better your skills get.

Dont know why people rant so much on this but yea,Crackdown is a decent game i got hooked on it right after the beta went out iam only missing two achivements,"Ring leader",And Street racer Elite"...Its pretty fun but if u get tired of searching and searching for the orbs here is a sight that will help you with whatever you need

Ok,HALO3!! Yes We all are waiting for it as im am,I already preorderd my halo3 just the regular one because the rest is a waste,If you buy anything higher then that your just a plain out nerd...

i did like the beta but most people need too understand its jsut a BETA it will be nothing compared too HALO3 NOTHING! The Campaign will out do multiplayer once again..Me personaly iam a Halo Freak..My rank is already Major in Halo3 and me and my friends already found out how too get out of all 3 maps

this game beats out all of the free world roaming games by a million especially you can build your skills by killing pple and getting orbs. Who cant like a game where you can throw a car hundreds of feet and jump about 100 feet in the air. Honestly this is one of the best 360 games there is

This wasn't a bad game I guess. If you are a hardcore shooter addict like I am, this game will feel short to you. Since any person who can run, jump & shoot can run directly to the bosses and beat them down... it was almost a waste of $ to me. But most people that I know aren't the "run-up-in-your-grill-and-shoo-you-in-the-face" kind of people. I suggest that if you like Grand Theft Auto series... you'll love this game! Sadly, I beat it in less then two days. But I guess thats typical for most new games like this. Have fun!

This wasn't a bad game. this game is short if you do it corretly. Since any person who can run,drive, jump & shoot you can run directly to the bosses and beat them down. It was a waste of money to me. But most people that I suggest that if you like Grand Theft Auto series... you'll love this game. It is fun but aesy but level shi-gen. have fun

This has been long overdue. I think that this game is needed to jolt this genre into the realization that you do not have to completly rip off the GTA series to make a successful game. Crackdown is already the most downloaded game on LIVE and already seems like a contender for game of the year. However since this year should be BIG in games and quality games at that, there are going to be many games that give this a run for its money. Vertically plays a huge role in this game too as you can jum to window ledges and run around Spiderman style. BUY this and do yourself a favour.

A Great Choice When Searching The Used Game Racks

Music: 9/10 (Didn't hear too much action themes but the car music had a little for everybody)
Graphics: 10/10 (Superb)
Gameplay: 10/10 (Like a wise girl once said, "This one's not too hot and not too cold, it's just right")
Controls: 10/10 (What you'd expect from almost any big name 360 game)
Sound: 10/10 (Absolutely perfect firearm and, mostly, explosions)

Overall: 5/5 or 9.5/10

I thoroughly enjoyed this game... for the first half of it

The biggest problem I had was trying to level up all of my skills. The driving one was the biggest pain because the control of veichles was so bad early on. unfortunately later on the cars grew too touchy and didn't offer the level of control I expected.

Otherwise the general lack of a story kind of leads you to wander a bit as you hardly rewarded by the killing of a gang boss. Once you learn how easy it is to run past all the low-level grunts and just rocket/nade/beat the crap out of the games bosses it becomes almost pointless to play.

Exploring the city was great but it got old quickly because it was the same formula of events. Jump, grab, jump, grab, until you reach the top. Sure jumping crazy high was alot of fun but in the end it hurt you more than it helped, falling from the top of a building did extreme amounts of damage considering how high you had jumped off of the building.

This game a tons of potential, and lots of people enjoyed it. I however saw it as half done and without polish, if it had a story and rewards for actually killing the gang bosses then I could see myself loving this game. unfortunately this was not worth the money I spent on it. This game looked a lot greener when it was a demo or at my friend's house.
