My first impression was "Wow!" The graphics are incredible. Then I started to play it. The gameplay is choppy and buggy. I think they tried to do too much and the game just can't keep moving. For a while I couldn't even play a game all the way through with out getting a disc read error. I returned to the game and got a new one and it seemed to solve that. Unfortunately it didn't solve the choppiness. I would love to invest my time in this game but it's just not realistic with how much the game pauses and momentarily freezes. I've given up on this game and turned my time towards NHL 07 which is a great game by the way. One thing I will say is the lead blocker control is a great new way to play. Whomever came up with that idea deserves a badge or a cookie. Unfortunately the gameplay just sucks. Play Madden on 360 at your own risk.

I have played the xbox, xbox 360, pc version and the ps2. If it is a choose go with the 360

Madden NFL 07 is the most over-hyped game I have ever seen. I know i just made a few people mad, because they actually believed the hype but if you want the game for what's inside and not what's on the cover, then you need to read this review. Madden has always been a good sport series and a popular one too, but since (i think) the 2004 madden, it's gone downhill from there. They took away a lot of the things that we knew and liked about madden and didn't even bother to replace most of them, for example, in franchise mode you can't move your team or create a team or do pretty much anything other than make trades and re-sign players...I've never thought the same of EA ever since they bought the NFL license for videogames, i think that was pretty low. But now, let's talk about what Madden has to offer.

graphics are pretty alright, although you may notice that after every single no-huddle that you do, madden will do the same exact animation, every single time.

gameplay is pretty much what you would expect from madden -- the same as the year before, except they added the new highlight stick which really isn't anything too special, also note that if you're buying this game because of superstar mode, then DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. there are so many flaws that ea has overlooked, i don't have the patience to write it down right now.

sound is surprisingle good actually, when you play mini-games, you actually hear the player breath and its kind of a neat thing, but everything else is pretty much the same as the previous years'

When I first bought this game I thought that it was great and couldn't take my eyes off it. The graphics on it of course were outrageous and the gamplay was pretty sweet.
The thing I hated the most is NOO! fantasy draft for franchise....... Unless im just really stupid then I hope someone can tell me how.
The way the layout for the start up menu is layed out is really bad and hard to get use to but other than that i recomend it great online play and Just great in general
If you like football games I strongly recommend this game

- teams in this game determine how good you are. lets take for example.. the seahawks. you run everyplay with shaun and you will nevver lose. Falcons.. run and bootleg with vick and you will never lose... lame...

Madden Is Good Fun.

Good for Xbox live and for multiplayer, bad for single player. I love Madden 07 it is the first Madden game i have bought in probably 5 years and maybe thats why I like it so much. I think it is the best football game I Have ever played closely followed by NFL Blitz for the N64 :). I have played this game on the PS2 and on the Xbox 360 and the options and add ons for the 360 version make it a much better game. A must have for all football fans.

Step Up from the Previous

I will go ahead and say that this is the first NFL game for the 360. Yeah I know, they did have Madden 06 the year before, but I only considered that an expensive demo of what the next gen Madden game will look like since it didn't offer anything else besides exhibition and franchise mode. To be serious, I have not been that impressed with the NFL game EA sports have made since 2005 when EA got scared of the competition and bought exclusive rights to the NFL games (remember in 2005 when there was a choice to either buy Madden 2005 for $49.99 or to get NFL 2k5 for $19.99? If you do and played both of them, remember which one was better?)

Back to my review of the game, this game did match up to the PS2 and XBox versions by giving the same features as the new ones. However there were a few problems I had with it. The real problem I had was the superstar mode. Now EA did a good job on the superstar mode for the PS2 and XBox, but they decided to clear that idea and start fresh. The problem I had with it is that the camera moved along with your player and not the regular way it did in the previous. You could only control your player as well. Also, when someone else on your team does something bad, you get points deducted from your influence (for example if you play as the QB and do a running play and the HB loses two yards, it lowers your influence level even though you didn't lose the yards.

In conclusion, this is a pretty good football game for the 360, just needs some work done with it.

Madden still rules the football world for platforms. Is that just for now? With All Pro Football 2K8 coming out from 2K sports I wonder if it will beat out Madden 08 or are all the college fans still gonna get Madden 08 just to see there favorite college player in action.

Madden 06 was a let down. Madden 07? Another downer.
However, they were the only football games in town, so we had to tolerate them.

Don't buy this, just wait for 08, it'll dominate.

Pros:
-It's football.
-It's EA, so it's got a big budget.
-Graphics are good enough.
-At least we don't have to listen to Madden ramble?

Cons:
-It's EA, so they don't care about us.
-Gameplay was a HUGE let down this year.
-Everyone has a robot run.
-Corner routes are huge money plays.
-Animations SUCK, and you get caught in them ALL THE TIME!
-That stupid announcer guy is fifty times worse than Madden.

Final Thought:
Oh Madden, how I once loved you. I can't wait for you to return to your glory days of being the big daddy of football games. 08 WILL DOMINATE!
Buy 08!!

I really wanted to like this on the 360 and were it not so amazingly poor I'd be all behind it. First the graphics have good and bad, one that bugged me the most is watching the ground move faster than the player after a play. Then I was never able to actually finish a game as it locked up everytime and during gameplay there were constant stutters between plays. After the 6th time I was through with it. I'm glad I rented and did noy buy this one. I own 06 and if 08 is going to be so overblown it locks like this I'll be very happy to stay with 06.

I wouldn't spend a lot of money on this one but this is a good game for gamers that like madden but, are not good at madden. Sometimes, I do enjoy beating up on the CPU in Superstar mode because it's fun to run on the defense. When seeing Shaun Alexander on the cover, you'd think he would be really good. Well, he is but it's very easy to run and pass in this game and hard to intercept.

Sucks

This game is not that great. To me it sucks because they run all the same. And its diffulict to understand.

Finally Next-Gen Football!

This is the first time we really can get a feel for next-generation football on the xbox 360 entertainment system. The graphics are up to par, much better than 06. The gameplay is new (run to daylight), realistic fatigue ratio, new video animations(get annoying quick) and a deeper superstar mode. The playcalling remains the same, there is also a radio announcer, no mike/madden, no fantasy draft here either. It is fun to unlock achievements and raise your Madden Gamer level. Online is fair game, some lag. Compared to last years game I give this 4 stars out of 5, this is the best football game out on the market.

this is a must have for any football enthusiast. play as your favorite nfl team and lead them to a conference championship. all the things you love about madden in a pro level game.if you are thinking about getting this game go for it. you can't put it down. it is very addictive. you will be pleasantly surprised.
