Hardcore and Insanity
Hint by oblivionrules on October 05, 2008 | report this hint
Trying to beat Mass Effect on Hardcore is nearly imposible beating it on Insanity is imposible. To get the achevments and gamer pics for beating the game on hardcore or insanity you cant change the diffaculty level when playing, So when you want to take a shot at hardcore load the save right before your fight with Saren and change the difaculty to hardcore after you beat him and start a new game with that character youll be playing on hardcore so now you can beat the game on hardcore do the same thing with the same character but change the difaculty to insanity. If you start the game with a previous chaeacter without doing this you will have to change the difaculty therefore you will not get the achevement or reward.

the best way to do this is give your team a good hiding place and try to get him to next cutscene and now use lift, warp, and other abilities cause they work

As soon as you are able to travel the galaxy, goto the system where Feros, at least I think thats the system. In one of the Galaxys there should be a planet that is similar to earth, only there are Parasites in the air. Land on this Planet and you will gain an achievement. Next goto all the hotspots on the map, you will com across a tunnel you can go in, travel inside and you will be able to find the Mantis Armor.

I found these things have an incredible shield regeneration rate, especially once you up the Difficulty to Veteran or higher. Their life regenerates a little slower, but still far faster than your Mako shields which can make fighting one a chore, and several at once very frustrating.
Assuming you can dodge their Pulse blasts work on only one at a time, focus all fire on him, I generally run rings around them which you can do is most places you face them (Virmire is another story...). Alternate between your Machine gun, which is almost useless, and your Cannon. I use the machine to just strafe them, it won't do anything significant damage wise but it will drain any shield power they have and keep them from regenerating it. Every two or seconds or so you can fire the cannon. Use the Cannon to get the job done, the machine gun to keep them from regenerating and I think you'll find like I did, they fall so much easier. Hit and run and hide to recover does not work on these guys. they can regenerate about 3-4 times faster than you and your Mako can. Happy Hunting.
Best Weapons
Hint by churchmeng on May 03, 2008 | report this hint
The best weapons in the game are the spectre weapons. In order to get these you must fist get the rich achievement. an easy way of doin this is by using the same two allies for each mission. that way you can equip them with your top performance weapons and sell everything else. once you have gotten the rich achievement you can go either to the bottom deck of your ship or to the guy who sells you weapons in C-SEC to purchase the spectre weapons
