Eh...

The first 4 levels of the game are very entertaining...but each level is almost the exact same. The game is loud so you can't play it at night if you have baby siblings or sleeping parents.
Most Innovative Game of the Year

Long ago, I was skeptical about the controls for Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, but when I decided to give it a try, I was dumbfounded at how amazingly well they work. In fact, this game breathed life into the dying genre of 2D sidescrollers because of the amazing control.
Control is actually intuitive after one gets the hang of the thing. Hit the right one, and you go right. Same for the left. Hit both and you jump. Clap (or do something to make the clap sensor go off) and you will send to shockwaves out. One wave goes out and does minimal things like stun enemies. The other wave is sent inward with a shorter reach, but it does major things like collect bananas and damage enemies. Bongos rock my socks now.
Overall, I'd recommend this game to anyone except people who will not even try this game. If you think it could be done well, get this, because it can be done, and it can be done VERY WELL.
8.0 Presentation
Nice menus and packaging, decent production values, but nothing stands out.
9.0 Graphics
Excellent. Fur effects and special video filters add to this games experience.
9.0 Sound
Great. Music perfectly fits the game and the sound effects are abslolutley charming
9.5 Gameplay
Bongos have never been this much fun. I think.
It has Bongos!

This game will give you quite the workout. It's a platformer...but with bongos! Hit the right bongo to move right, hit the left to go left, hit both the jump, even clap! Very fun game. Got nice and sweaty after each gaming session.
Pros:
-Very unique gameplay
-Fun levels and bosses
Cons:
-Tiring

This game is really fun. well, it is if you have to bongos. Without them its not that fun at all. The only problem is sometimes claps dont go through and you have to clap hard and end up with sore hands.
Drumming the night away!

This game is my fave on Gamecube.
The game is indeed loud as one said and louder with a good set of home theather speakers!
In HD it is gorgeous.
Game play is easy via the bongos that are included are added on.
Hit left and DK walks or runs left, hit right and DK walks or runs right.
Hit both and he jumps!
But for me the Gamecube controller worked best.
Mostly on boss levels like Karate Kong and Ninja Kong, which require skill to beat.
One would injure(carpal tunnel?) their hands quick trying to drum-out on these two Kong modes.
Just look on Youtube at teen boys trying this on Wii!
The last boss is easy but he is not with the bongos.
I say use both bongos and the main controller to get a gold or platinum crest.
Pros:
Fun,easy to learn, safe for all ages.
Cons: Sore hands! Hard to beat bosses with bongos. Repetative levels.
