Mostly the same old game. The one player mode in this game (star battle mode) is lacking minigames and depends too much on chance. The only strategy in this mode is when you use your candy (similar to items in other mario parties) and what candy you buy. The party mode is pretty much the same. You have six boards one of which that you have to unlock. A total of 14 characters gives you a lot to choose from: Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Waluigi, Wario, Boo, Dry Bones, Hammer Bro, Blooper, Toad, Toadette, Yoshi, and Birdo. Has a variety of minigames that are overall fun to play, but some seem like old minigames from other mario parties in disguise. There is also a "fun Baazar" mode where you can buy things with "carnival cards" you earn from playing. Of course theres a minigame mode where you can play all the minigames who have unlocked in a few different ways. Theres also an extras mode where you can play extra minigames with your miis. Definitely worth buying. Its just one of those games that you wont play often after the first week, but you will never completely stop playing...untill the next one comes out!
